Telice at thel World Metro & Light Rail Congress & Expo in Bilbao

TELICE has presented the latest version of the tCat at the World Congress of Metro and Light Rail held on 17 and 18 April 2018.

This biannual event was created fourteen years ago by operators and partners in the metro and light rail industry to provide CEOs with a HIGH-LEVEL MEETING place where they can openly discuss their strategies and challenges, as well as make contacts and do business.

After several years in London this year Terrapinn, the organiser of the event, has chosen the BILBAO EXHIBITION CENTRE (BEC) as the venue for the 2018 edition. With more than 1,000 visitors and 150 seminars, the success has been clear.

Telice has been a very active part of the event:

  • We presented the new version of the CATENARY WORKSTATION TCAT at our stand 64. A four-person team from Telice has shown the operation of the new prototype, which unlike the old version already has a LIDAR, a much lighter design  with better dynamic behaviour and a new user interface.
  • The 360-degree version of a Virtual Reality video was shown on a screen, demonstrating the functionality and qualities of the tCat catenary workstation.
  • Our CEO also had the opportunity to discuss the role of “Scan2BIM in predictive maintenance” in a ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION with industry leaders

The fair had a large audience and had several information and networking centres.
At the CITE Hub we were able to listen to presentations on major projects such as the Rail Baltica or High Speed 2.

At the Rail Alliance Hub stand, we did attend “networking breakfasts” organised by this important British association of the railway sector.

The fair also had an areas dedicated to specific product segments called “The Track” and “The Plant & Machinery Zone”.
